The University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) is located on UC's main campus. DAAP is consistently rated as one of the most prestigious design schools in the United States and world. The college is distinguished for its mandatory co-operative education program, where students alternate between working as paid employees in design firms and attending classes, giving them experience that enables them to easily enter the workplace after graduation.
DAAP's main focus is on creating a better visual and design environment. Through excellence in educational programs, research, creative works, and services to the community, the faculty, the students and administrative officers of DAAP are dedicated to achieving this mission.
This fund enables DAAP to maintain and advance its inspired, 24/7 learning environment - most especially the high technology infrastructure that affords our students to lead their professions rather than simply following trends.
DAAP receives annual support from alumni, faculty and friends through gifts to the DAAP Annual Fund. This consistent, ongoing source of funding is essential to the operation and growth of the college.
DAAP puts extraordinary efforts into recruiting and retaining the best students. Though DAAP is currently ranked at the top of its field, it must stay competitive by offering scholarships to top candidates. By providing them with financial assistance, these students are able to take co-op positions anywhere in the world.
DAAP graduates looking to support current students in their educational endeavors.
The best students are attracted to DAAP because of its outstanding faculty flourishing at the prime of their careers. Each of the four schools is led by professionals nationally recognized for their own contributions to their fields, and who are dedicated to passing their knowledge to students.
