Society membership is based on cumulative giving during the fiscal year, July 1 – June 30, of $1,000 or more ($500 for UC alumni within five years of graduation).
Total giving from each household will be considered towards Tower of Strength Society – Annual recognition. If a qualifying gift is made by an individual or an individual’s covering account, Tower of Strength Society recognition will also be extended to the individual’s spouse.

Are there recognition levels in the Tower of Strength Society – Annual?
As of July 1, 2018, named recognition levels in the Tower of Strength Society – Annual have been discontinued. Members will be recognized upon reaching the minimum level of $1,000 or $500 for alumni within five years of graduation.
Do I receive recognition in the Tower of Strength Society – Annual for a pledge or recurring gift commitment?
The Tower of Strength Society – Annual is a receipt-based recognition society. Only gifts received during the fiscal yar, July 1 – June 30, will be counted towards membership. Pledge commitments and recurring gifts will be recognized when fiscal yar payments reach the minimum levels listed above.
PARKING BENEFIT
Parking vouchers are mailed to Tower of Strength Society – Annual members the month after membership status has been achieved. Members receive ten #2 vouchers which will expire one year following the close of the fiscal year in which the qualifying gifts were made. Passes are automatically mailed to donors in the tri-state area and are available upon request for other donors.
The parking vouchers are eligible for any campus garage, except during home football games and men’s basketball games. During home football games and home men’s basketball games the parking vouchers are valid at the Eden Garage.
Using a Parking Voucher:
- When entering a parking garage take a ticket. The ticket will be labeled with a #1.
- When exiting a parking garage first scan the ticket you received when you entered the garage with the #1 on it.
- Next scan the QR code on the back of one of the #2 vouchers you received as part of your TSS-Annual membership.
- The exit gate arm will lift and you may exit the garage.

The Tower of Strength Society – Lifetime recognizes donors whose cumulative commitments provide critical support to advance mission, growth and momentum. This support provides vital opportunities to advance education, outreach, clinical care and research.

Founder Level
$100,000 - $249,999
The Founder level provides a solid base for the Tower of Strength Society and for the missions and programs of the university and UC Health. This level honors our friends who have made cumulative gifts of $100,000 to $249,999, impacting countless lives through their generous support of our institutions.
Benefactor Level
$250,000 - $499,999
Members of the Benefactor level of the Tower of Strength Society provide opportunities with their gifts and commitments of $250,000 - $499,999. These members elevate UC and UC Health to new levels of prominence through their generosity and commitment to vital support, creating exciting learning and research opportunities.
Champion Level
$500,000 - $999,999
Champion level members of the Tower of Strength Society are dedicated supporters whose cumulative gifts and commitments range from $500,000 - $999,999. Visionary Level
$1,000,000 - $4,999,999

This premier level is named for Dr. George Rieveschl, Jr., an internationally known chemist, scientist, UC alumnus, professor and researcher. Herman Schneider Legacy Society
Through the Herman Schneider Legacy Society, the UC Foundation honors some of its most forward-thinking donors and advocates, all of whom share a commitment to the future of the University of Cincinnati and UC Health.
The society is named to honor one of UC’s most visionary educators – Dr. Herman Schneider. First as dean of the College of Engineering, then as university president (1929-32), he pioneered the concept and practice we know as “cooperative education.” Dr. Schneider’s innovation is a hallmark of UC education and has been adopted by schools and universities worldwide.
Established in 1993, the Herman Schneider Legacy Society recognizes those who include the University of Cincinnati or UC Health in their estate or financial plans.
Outstanding Philanthropic Volunteer Awards
The Outstanding Philanthropic Volunteer Awards recognize individual and group fundraising in support of UC and UC Health by community members, alumni, staff, students, and organizations. Each year, the University of Cincinnati Foundation honors those who go beyond the call of duty through their philanthropic efforts.
UC and UC Health volunteers demonstrate their commitment by generously giving their time, talents and treasures to provide education, research, clinical care and experiential opportunities for students, patients, faculty and staff. Without the work of these dedicated individuals and groups, UC and UC Health would not be where they are today.
The awards provide an opportunity to celebrate volunteerism and philanthropy. Award recipients are celebrated at the George Rieveschl Recognition Dinner and featured on a wall display in the UC Foundation lobby.
The nomination process begins in November and award recipients are approved during the UC Foundation Board of Trustees spring meeting. To recognize a philanthropic volunteer please complete the online nomination form.
