UC Gardner Neuroscience Institute

“Thank you for telling me what you have done, but tell me where you are going. How are you going to be the best?” —James “Jim” Gardner

In 2005, Joan Farmer Gardner was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Her husband Jim, a former Cintas executive, made it his life’s mission to eradicate the disease. In 2013, Jim passed away, but his work lives on. The University of Cincinnati Gardner Neuroscience Institute now bears the family name. Game-changing discoveries are on the horizon. Top doctors proudly call the institute home. Construction begins on a best-in-class facility designed for patients by patients. We are poised to make Jim proud—to be the best—but we need your help to support patient care, research, education and the new facility. Search for an Area to Support
