UC Foundation Welcomes Assistant Vice President of Leadership and Regional Development
CINCINNATI –The University of Cincinnati Foundation is pleased to announce that Sharon Hill is the new Assistant Vice President of Leadership and Regional Development, New York Metro/Northeast Region.
Her responsibilities at the UC Foundation will include working with UC alumni and friends in the New York City and northeastern region to fulfill UC and UC Health’s philanthropic priorities.
Hill brings to her role more than 30 years of experience in the nonprofit and fundraising field. As the former charitable gift officer for the Interlochen Center for the Arts, she spent much of her time in New York City working with philanthropically minded alumni, families and friends of the center. Hill returns to Cincinnati having held leadership and development positions at the Lindner Center of Hope, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Cincinnati and the University of Dayton.
“Sharon brings the perfect combination of knowledge and enthusiasm to this position,” said UC Foundation President Peter E. Landgren. “She is a native of New York, lived in Cincinnati for 35 years and has a passion for UC and its programs.”
Hill received her bachelor’s of arts from State University of New York at Geneseo.
“UC is a gem in this city,” said Hill. “By taking advantage of its programs, it helped my husband and me parent our children to be successful adults. I am so excited about the vast opportunities in the different colleges. My job will be to spread the news and connect UC alumni and friends to their different areas of interest.”
“I’m eager to have such a dynamic fundraising professional on the UC Foundation team,” Deborah Robinson, vice president for development of the UC Foundation said. “Sharon’s vast experience and passion for UC will help us connect our supporters to their areas of interest.”
