Urban Health Project

The Urban Health Project is an independent, student-run, non-profit organization founded by UC medical students in 1986. Throughout our 34-year history we have been guided by a vision of improving healthcare by inspiring medical students to have a personal connection with the social determinants of health. Through this work, we hope these future physicians will use the knowledge gained from their UHP experience to provide better care for all populations, especially the underserved. Our mission is to educate, inspire, and challenge medical students to become more engaged through service.
