To My Friends & Family,
Thank you so much for your support, love, and prayers. It has all helped so much. I knew I had great friends and family, and you have demonstrated that a million times over. I am so lucky!
I’m also so lucky to live in a city with such incredible health care. The Barrett Cancer Center at UC Health is a special place. It’s special because it allows for integrated, connected care across so many disciplines.
It all starts with my oncologist, Dr. Amanda Jackson. She and her team have been a constant since Day One. Dr. Jackson is double board-certified, and she has been with me every step of the way from surgery through treatment. She has run point and orchestrated all of my care.
I have been touched by so many departments at UC Heath - oncology, radiation, orthopedics, physical therapy, acupuncture, oncology massage, and wellness exercise. (I’m sure I'm forgetting something!) What has been consistent through it all is the personalized care.
Lastly, I can’t say enough about the people at UC Health - from the doctors to the nurses to the technicians to the receptionists and more. They all make it a personal, special experience during a difficult time.
Now it’s time to give back. The Kathy Rubenstein Women’s Cancer Fund has been established to support patient care, education, and research. My oncologist, Dr. Jackson, will lead where the funds will be directed.
