Herman Schneider Legacy Society

In 1993, the Herman Schneider Legacy Society was founded to recognize University of Cincinnati donors whose "legacies" to educational excellence are realized through the gift plans they commit to the University.

These individuals contribute to UC's future. The Society was named after UC educator Herman Schneider, founder of cooperative education, whose vision propelled UC to the forefront of higher education early in the 20th century.

UC is pleased to honor those who demonstrate commitment to future excellence at the University of Cincinnati by providing support for tomorrow through gift plans.

Recognition

Membership in the Legacy Society is extended to individuals who establish gift plans to benefit the University and its colleges and programs. Gift plans recognized by the Society include gifts from a will and trust provisions benefiting UC, in addition to a wide array of other possibilities.

The Society's membership roster is published in an Honor Roll of Donors each year. (If preferred, Legacy Society members may remain anonymous for publication purposes.)

Privileges

Upon accepting membership in the Legacy Society, members will receive a letter of confirmation and a membership card acknowledging visionary support, and invitations throughout the year to Society gatherings and UC events.

Members will also receive the following privileges:

  • A certificate for unlimited OLLI classes in any one quarter – an $85 value
  • A 10 percent discount coupon to UC Bookstores
  • Borrowing privileges at UC Libraries
  • Exclusive concierge services

Through gift plans, Legacy Society members have committed themselves to a future in which the University of Cincinnati will maintain its competitive edge as a leader in education, research and service.
