Moveable Feast
In recent weeks, leadership at the University of Cincinnati have observed the increase in local, state, and national COVID-19 cases, due to the high transmission rate of the Omicron variant, which heightens concern for the continued health and safety of the university community. As a result of these concerns, the University of Cincinnati will begin the Spring 2022 semester with two weeks of online remote learning. In light of this decision, Moveable Feast 2022: A Bridge to the Stars will be transitioning to a completely virtual event.
Despite these changes, CCMpower is thrilled to be able to offer the return of our one of a kind virtual fundraising event, Moveable Feast 2022, featuring the incredible performances from CCM that you know and love. Despite circumstances that keep us from being together in person again, we have planned a joyful evening of artistry, food, celebration and togetherness with Moveable Feast 2022: A Bridge to the Stars.
Enjoy an Unparalleled Artistic Menu
The start of our evening will allow you ample time to enjoy a delicious meal from our partners Jeff Thomas Catering and Rhinegeist Brewery and explore all that CCM has to offer.
While you enjoy your meal, you can choose to socialize with other virtual guests and chat with some of our most famed alumni or learn more about the exciting projects happening in CCM classrooms. If that isn't your cup of tea, you can spend some time behind the scenes with a glimpse at how our productions are created, expand your artistic palette by taking in an exceptional CCM performance on our additional content page and learn about the CCM students whose lives are transformed through your sponsorship, all from the Moveable Feast website.
As our virtual performance begins, we will take you on an artistic journey featuring CCM’s Musical Theatre Class of 2024, our award-winning Jazz Orchestra, give you a glimpse behind the curtain to witness the magic of putting together a mainstage production, take you inside the journey to become an opera star and so much more, ending with a triumphant excerpt from Mahler’s First Symphony by your beloved CCM Philharmonia.
Our evening culminates with a special treat from CCM alumnus and famed Broadway composer Stephen Flaherty, which you won’t want to miss while you enjoy a treat from our dessert sponsor, Graeter’s Ice Cream!
Celebrate Moveable Feast’s 2022 Honoree
Moveable Feast 2022 will honor a true Bridge to the Stars, Distinguished Alumnus and Professor Emeritus, Dr. Earl Rivers. During his nearly 50 years at CCM, Rivers built one of the most prestigious choral conducting programs in the United States here at the College-Conservatory of Music. Dr. Rivers also directed the Cincinnati Vocal Arts Ensemble for 20 years, led the Knox Choir at Hyde Park’s Knox Presbyterian Church for nearly five decades and was instrumental in the success of the 2012 World Choir Games in Cincinnati. The incredible contributions and career of Dr. Rivers will be more richly honored at our next in-person Moveable Feast. We hope you will join us as we pay tribute to this exemplary alumnus, teacher and artist.
