About the Ethics Center
The Cincinnati Ethics Center works throughout Greater Cincinnati to foster the reasoning, dialogue and decision-making skills that are essential for resolving the ethical, political and social challenges we face as a community. We bring people together and give them the tools they need to have effective conversations about those challenges.
Central to our mission is our commitment to K-12 education, highlighted by the Greater Cincinnati Regional High School Ethics Bowl and the Ethics and Dragons programs at Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Libraries. These initiatives, along with teacher professional development, help students develop critical moral reasoning skills to navigate ethical dilemmas.
Through collaboration with individuals, non-profits, educational institutions and businesses, the Ethics Center aims to promote a just community. Our goals include enhancing ethical awareness, encouraging civil discourse and fostering integrity in decision-making to support healthier communities both at UC and beyond.
We believe that moral inquiry—about right and wrong, justice and injustice, character and integrity—should not be confined to the classroom.
