Nancy Beck Perazzo Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Nancy Beck Perazzo Memorial Scholarship Fund was formed in the Fall of 2017 to celebrate the life of Nancy Perazzo, and to honor her legacy of kindness and generosity. Nancy received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount Saint Joseph University, and for more than 30 years she worked as a registered nurse specializing in end of life care. For most of her career, she provided care to terminally ill people in their homes and nursing facilities. Nancy’s greatest passion was helping people find relief from symptoms and suffering in their final days, and providing comfort and support to their families. She will be forever remembered as a compassionate nurse who was devoted to providing each and every patient and family with excellent care, regardless of their income, race, education level, or the environment where they lived. In 2015, Nancy passed away at the age of 60, following a three-year battle with breast cancer. Those who knew her will never forget her generosity, her kindness, and her dedication to helping others.
To celebrate and honor her memory, the Perazzo and Beck families have partnered with the University of Cincinnati Foundation to establish the Nancy Beck Perazzo Memorial Scholarship Fund. Following Nancy’s example throughout her life, this endowment was created to provide selected students with the opportunity to earn a nursing degree. We know that financial constraints prevent many people from pursuing higher education, and pledge our commitment to students who may not otherwise be able to pursue a career in nursing. Your contribution will help provide financial support to students who will pursue a bachelor’s degree in nursing. These students will receive a first-rate nursing education and will be expected to maintain academic excellence throughout their time in the program. On behalf of the Beck and Perazzo families, we want to express our sincere appreciation for any contribution you are able to provide, and to emphasize that there is no gift too small.
